BlackBerry Storm 2

The much hyped Blackberry Storm 2 9550 released today on Verizon networks. It is available online from Verizon’s website for $179.99 with a 2 year contract after a $100 instant rebate. You get an even better deal with Verizon’s BOGO ( Buy One, Get One ) offer and get a “select BlackBerry or Mobile Broadband Device FREE” while buying Storm2. You can possibly pass on the other one as an early Christmas present.

More details about the specs and features of the Storm 2 follow below the fold.

BlackBerry Storm 2 is successor to the BlackBerry Storm which was hyped but failed to satisfy. The Storm2 aims to resolve the flaws of its predecessor. It sticks to the same form factor and runs on the same BlackBerry OS 5.0. The feature list includes a 3.25 inch 480×360 touchscreen with “SurePress” technology, 3.2 megapixel camera, 2GB interal memory, GPS, Bluetooth, Accelerometer/motion sensor for sensing orientation, and an additional 32GB storage in the form of a microSD card.

The Storm2 is also available in Europe from Vodafone for as little as £35 per month on a two year contract.
