iPhone 3GS arriving at Orange UK stores on November 10

Just in time for the holiday season, Orange UK is ready with the Apple iPhone 3G S for the probable customers. It is interesting to note that a whopping 200,000 people have registered their interest in the iPhone 3G S despite the fact that Orange has neither made the pricing public nor have the plans/tariffs been advertised. Until now, it was O2 that held the exclusive selling rights for the iPhone and its contract with Apple expires on November 9. One day later, i.e November 10 is when the iPhone should be readily available at Orange UK stores across the country.

Orange UK-iPhone 3GS-Release Date

Apple has already realized that ending the exclusivity pattern will directly mean more sales and therefore it is accommodated carriers other than the O2 in UK. Orange UK does realize that the tariff war may force them to bring down the iPhone prices and the related tariffs but its ready for the battle with plans like pre-installed applications and free accessories to glorify its deals.

Joining the battle early next year will be Vodafone which will further wage the war but what is noteworthy is that the customers will be the ones who will eventually benefit from all this. [via: Slashgear]
