Motorola Droid Detailed before the October 28 Droid Event
Motorola has fixed October 28 as the date for the Droid event where it will release the much anticipated Droid smartphone but we do not have to wait for the details of the Android device anymore. All the details related to the phone were made public incidentally through the Product Page and before Motorola could take heed everyone knew what the Droid is all about.

It sure has Android 2.0 running with a 550Mhz processor and a 5MP camera but now there is more you should be knowing.
The 5MP camera comes with 4x optical zoom, dual LED flashlight, autofocus and image stabilization technology. As far as the touch screen is concerned, it measures 3.7-inches (16:9 aspect ratio) which the biggest for an Android device until date.
The battery (a major concern for iPhone users) is a 1,400mAh variant and it renders 385 minutes of talk-time and 270 hours of standby time. On the connectivity front, the droid supports EVDO Rev.A, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth, GPS and HSPA (limited to US only).
A 16GB microSD card will come pre laden with the phone however it can be extended up to 32GB. The details are being carefully scanned in Cupertino for sure as the iPhone killer has arrived. [via: Slashgear]
