Dell ready with Adamo XPS, the thinnest notebook with touch sensor

October 23, 2009, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

It looks thinner than the thinnest notebook ever. At least the pictures say so. Dell has let out a few details of its much anticipated Adamo XPS. A spruced up Adamo it indeed is, but the device is set to arrive like a new product altogether.  Though just about half-an-inch-thick, Dell tells you that the Adamo XPS notebook is sturdier than anyone thought.

A closer look at the picture now available reveals that the thin system is very sturdily built. The sexy exterior of the Adamo XPS notebook comes thanks to the aluminum construction that endorses the super strong shell. Dell has incorporated a touch sensor on the lid to help you open the notebook in style. All you have to do is to brush your finger across the sensor and the screen opens with ease. This is all about the exterior.

Well, if you are looking for all the hardware details, you would probably have to wait a bit more. Not all specifications have been announced, except the fact it would ship with Windows 7. Dell’s choice of hardware will be known at a later date.

Going by the outer cover, it is only right to wait with added expectations on what would go inside. So, keep a watch for a launch date of the Dell Adamo XPS. The specifications, the pricing and other details may soon be officially announced.
