T-Mobile-Announces BlackBerry Bold 9700-for-this-holiday season

We certainly realize the repercussions of the header atop and therefore we are not confirming the rumored November 11 release date for the BlackBerry Bold but, in what could be a consolation announcement, T-Mobile has hinted that the Blackberry Bold 9700 will be up for purchase this holiday season. T-Mobile has offered BlackBerry handsets before but what is special about the Bold 9700 is that it is the first 3G Blackberry smartphone on offer.

It is also the first handset that supports both 3G connectivity and voice calls over a Wi-Fi network as it connects to the T-Mobile network through 3G HSDPA.

The Bold 9700 is available for $199.99 with a new 2-year contract and this device can be purchased online, through stores or else the authorized dealers all across the US.

As far as the basic features are concerned, the Bold 9700 comes with a 624MHz processor which is assisted by 256MB of flash memory, a combination that makes it a snazzy and swift smartphone. Support for GPS and Wi-Fi also come as standard. You needn’t think much if you intend to buy a smartphone this holiday season. [via: Slashgear]
