Sony to unveil new, expensive 250GB version of PlayStation 3

Sony will hit the gaming market with a new expensive version of the PlayStation 3 this holiday season. The new version is to come loaded with 250 gigabytes of storage and will be more expensive at $350 than the current model which sells for $300. The current model has storage levels of 120 gigabytes.

The gaming addict you are, we know you are already anticipating the arrival of the new spruced up PlayStation 3. Upgraded storage would mean more capacity for downloaded games, movies and television shows and this, in indeed, is enough to lure you to the Sony stores.

Starting November 3, the 250-gigabyte PlayStation 3 will be yours to pick. With the PlayStation 3 offering extra space for games storage and other entertainment bought from the Sony’s online PlayStation Network, rival players are already looking tensed. Though the current model of PlayStation 3 lags Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Nintendo’s Wii in sales, Sony would be looking at turning the tide with the upgraded version.

While Europe’s gamers will get to taste the new 250GB PS3 with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Japan will have Square Enix Co’s Final Fantasy XIII by December.
