Super-cheap Compaq CQ61z Notebooks & Presario 4010f PCs Lined Up

Hewlett-Packard has unveiled a range of laptops and desktops for prices that could make you drool. The new line up comes as part of HP’s bid to spruce up activity on the Compaq brand space after it had acquired it, back in year 2002. The new line up comprises PCs offered for throw away prices.

Among the new offerings is the new Compaq CQ61z notebook. The 15.6-inch laptop comes powered by an AMD Sempron CPU, 2GB of RAM, DVD burner, 160GB hard drive, and graphics. For a price of $399, the laptop runs on Windows 7 Home Premium and has a bigger screen and better processor compared with the ones that come for the same price.

Making the laptop a tad more attractive is its design. Black and silver hues make it stylish and the Compaq CQ61z is sure to be picked up by those who look for a cheap replacement their existing laptops. A 6-cell battery is another significant feature.

Meanwhile, the Compaq Presario 4010f desktop comes equipped with a 250GB hard drive, an AMD Sempron processor and Nvidia integrated graphics.. Pricing begins at as less as $309, post a $-100 discount.

HP’s offering under the Compaq brand will also see two more desktops in the 500B series. The Compaq 500B and the Compaq 505B will run on Windows 7. The company has priced the AMD-based 500B at $359, while the Intel-based 505B would sell for $409.
