Eye-Fi SD Cards to Wirelessly Upload Photos, Videos

Eye-Fi has unveiled its new SD cards in the US market. In a week’s time, the UK market will also get a taste of the new product. Capable of wirelessly uploading images and videos to your computer, the company has lined up an array of versions such as Eye-Fi Home Video, the Eye-Fi Share Video and the Eye-Fi Pro.


The Eye-Fi SD cards work thus: All you have to do is to get a camera within a Wi-Fi network and start uploading pictures to either your computer’s hard drive, or the Internet. While the Eye-Fi Home Video, which comes for a cost of 49.99 Euros, can upload images and videos directly to your computer without using a USB connection, the Eye-Fi Share Video helps direct uploads to your hard drive and also to photo and video-sharing websites.

Meanwhile, the Eye-Fi Pro has all the capabilities the Eye-Fi Home Video and Eye-Fi Share Video SD cards, it also comes with lifetime geo-tagging services and can upload raw images. The Eye-Fi Share Video will sell for 69.99 Euros, while Eye-Fi Pro will sell for 119.99 Euros. The company has said all SD cards would come with 4GB of storage and are Mac and PC compatible.
