It’s raining cellphones at the Verizon camp and if the Razzle and the more attractive Imagio were not enough for the coming days, we now have news that even the Android based Motorola Tao will arrive at Verizon next week. Wondering where the ‘Tao’ Android phone came from all of a sudden, just to refresh your memories, Tao is another name for the Motorola Sholes.
There is no official Verizon or Motorola source confirming the news but the Street has reported that Motorola is landing at Verizon next week.
There have been rumors previously regarding the future of Sholes with Verizon but again none of them were confirmed. As per The Street, Verizon will use this phone to rival the might of the AT&T Apple iPhone.
The Tao was recently cleared by FCC and MOTODEV (Motorola’s own developer conference) is also beginning next week. Add to that the fact that CTIA also begins on October 7th; there is every possibility that this rumor might turn true. [via: BGR]
