Vodafone to release HTC Tattoo in Europe this October

Vodafone UK, today officially announced that their latest Android smartphone, the HTC Tattoo will release on their European networks this October. It is claimed to be the first entry-level phone to run Google’s Android operating system.
In terms of hardware specs, the Tattoo is similar to the extremely successful HTC Magic, with 3.2 Megapixel camera, bluetooth and WiFi b/g connectivity, but with a 2.8 inch resistive touchscreen. It comes with 3G HSPDA connectivity, as well as a built-in FM Radio. One of the best features of the Tattoo is the HTC Sense UI incorporated into it. It lets you customize your mobile experience a lot, with easily accessible shortcuts to websites, social networks, games, widgets and apps . You can also further expand the experience with thousands of widgets and apps available for download from the Android Market. This gives access to popular Google Services such as Google Maps, Google Search, GMail and Youtube.
The HTC Tattoo weighs 108g and measures in at 106×55.2×14 mm. It has an internal memory of 512 MB which is expandable through a microSD slot. The Tattoo is expected to hit Vodafone UK in October. No pricing information has been released yet.
