HTC has taken the Android OS captive in the real sense of the word and every second smartphone HTC announces is based on the Google OS, making HTC the largest manufacturer of the Android based smartphones in the world. Despite Android inside and its smartphone status, the HTC Tattoo promises to be a budget phone.

Those still awaiting news on the HTC Click should wait no more as ‘Tattoo’ is ‘Click’ which is capable of rivaling high-end smartphones.

It comes with a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display on the front and a 3.2MP camera on the rear to begin with. Music admirers would love to know that there is a 3.5mm headphone jack available and therefore it can easily be connected to even your giant home speakers.

Other interesting features include an accelerometer, a digital compass and a slot for a microSD card. On the connectivity front, the users get Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, dual-band (900/2100MHz) 7.2Mbps UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band EDGE. Coming in October, it will be available for $0 with contract but that is currently relevant to places abroad. [via: BGR]
