Nokia X6 Breaks Ice at Nokia World 2009

September 2, 2009, By Atul Roach

Nokia has brought a huge smile on the faces of its admirers as a stunning phone was long overdue and boy here it is in the most unbelievable manner. Nokia has introduced the rocking new X Series Member-the All Touch Nokia X6 at the Nokia World, a surprise that we’ve loved. It is not a certainty that the X series will replace the XpressMusic Series but, it certainly has the capability to repeat the success of the music edition phones.

The X6 has been introduced with another phone from the X Series line up, the X3, which is based on the S40 Symbian and hence it is not a smartphone. The X6 however is the obvious flagship all-touch smartphone, with S60 Symbian running and a 3.2-inch touchscreen (resistive or capacitive we are yet to know) with 16 million colors.

On the rear you find a beauty of a camera with 5MP resolution on a Carl Zeiss lens well assisted with geo-tagging, auto-focus and dual LED flash. Also, the optics are good enough to record a VGA quality video at 30fps.

You will not regret the lack of microSD support on this phone as it comes with a whopping internal memory of 32GB. A small derivation from the XpressMusic territory is the 3.5mm headphone jack.

On the connectivity front you get ‘what you like’ from 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth to A2DP, GPS and A-GPS. The expected pricing is 450 EUR.
