LG 15-inch AMOLED Screen to be Launched in September [Largest AMOLED Display]

While Sony is still pondering over the fate of its next and bigger AMOLED Screen, LG has quietly announced plans to launch the 15-inch AMOLED display next month. Another announcement was that a bigger display will also arrive in the not so distant future and since LG has introduced the 15-inch AMOLED as promised, we are bound to believe the Korean giant. This screen now qualifies as the largest AMOLED screen dethroning the 11-inch XEL-1 from Sony.

Eager enthusiasts will get to see this display for the first time at the IFA 2009 show in Berlin. Understandably the technology is expensive (just like Blu-ray in its early days) but its worth the price given the amazing picture quality and the energy efficiency.
