We say we live in a modern world where discrimination based on the skin color holds no value. Well if that is true, where did the black man from the first photograph disappear. This is an ad campaign for one of the ‘modern day’ behemoths-Microsoft-which depicts a black man as a part of the conference but for a Polish version of the same advertisement, the face of that man has been photoshoped for a white individual.

This may have something to do with Poland’s ethnic homogeneity but even then, resorting to such means sends out a wrong message altogether.

As far as Microsoft is concerned, the apologies have already come in from Microsoft spokesperson Lou Gellos who quipped:

We are looking into the details of this situation. We apologize and are in the process of pulling down the image

We are in no mood to launch a direct attack and say ‘yes this is definitely racist’, but Microsoft sure has a lot of explanation to do and that too as soon as it can. [via: Mashable]
