The Hudson River Crash on Video, Controller Was on Phone With His Girlfriend

The Hudson River Crash on Video — If on January 15 this year, we were happy that the US Airways Flight 1549 landed in the waters of Hudson River (yes, the super landing), last weekend, the pilots of an small airplane and a tour helicopter were not that lucky as they collided in air. Apparently, at the time of the collision the tower control guy was talking to his girlfriend, whereas the supervisor wasn’t even in the tower as required.

Mid Air Collision

Now there is new video doing rounds on the web which reveals the frightening accident. It was shot by an Italian tourist and it shows that the plane was trying to bank up at the very last minute but it couldn’t.

The horrified officials dub their actions as unacceptable and although they were not blamed for the collision, there is every chance that they would be fired (they have been only suspended for now). The serious deviation from services has also been ascertained in the crash probes by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.

Too bad people can’t get their jobs done properly when the risks are so big.
