22,000 Wii 4-Dock Recharge Stations from Psyclone and React Recalled Over Heating Concerns

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and US Distributor Griffin International have recalled 22,000 Wii Remote Charging Stations. This recall is made for Wii 4-Dock Recharge Station manufactured by Psyclone or React. The recall was made after six overheating cases were reported until date.

The overheating instance can get dangerous as it can potentially pose a burn or a fire hazard.

All of these battery docking stations were manufactured in China and you can find the model numbers at the bottom of the controller- Psyclone PSE6501 and React RT530.

Just to have an idea, the Psyclone PSE6501 charging docks were sold at Target, Toys and Amazon and the React ones were sold at Best Buy from January 2008 to July 2009 for about $50.

The users are advised to immediately stop using these Wii 4-Dock Recharge Stations. Also, there is an immediate replacement available and all that you have to do is to dial- 888-344-4702. [via: LATIMES]
