TwitViewer Could be a Phishing Scam

A service that promises to tell who are the 200 most recent visitors to your Twitter account, TwitViewer could be a phishing scam. Just registered through an Arizona proxy server today, using the service is totally free, but there’s a catch.
You need to give these guys your username and password in order to a photo-gallery-like display of your last stalkers. In return, TwitViewer will user your account to automatically send the “Want to know whos stalking you on twitter!?: http://TwitViewer.net.” message to all your buddies without permission.
Although it sounds intriguing to know who’s following your every move on Twitter, the new TwitViewer has been reported as nothing more than a mere phishing scam. More to it the Twitter Spam Watch has also mentioned that “If you gave your login and password info at TwitViewere we strongly suggest you change your password now. Thanks!”
The service offers nothing more than empty promise. We tested it out with a new Twitter account and although nobody knew about it, TwitViewer instantly showed us 200 stalkers …
Just to play safe, if you’ve been duped, change your password as soon as possible.
note: picture is from TwitViewer.com (I couldn’t find anything better since the .net is offline)
