Mozilla have just revealed some early Firefox 4.0 screenshots, for the masses to drool. Just one week after showcasing the 3.7 version, the orange fox have introduced a bunch of mockups for the upcoming Firefox 4.0 and by the look of it the browser comesĀ  with a Chrome-like interface — makes you think that they’re still working on memory consumption issues over there, features changed Tools bar and an Embracing Glass design.

A result of brainstorming, Firefox 4.0 is still not sure whether to go with the tabs-on-bottom (above) or tabs-on-top (below). The current versions have the tabs buttons at the bottom, while the one with the tabs on top looks a lot like Chrome – cleaner, nicer! Another new thing for Firefox 4.0 is theĀ  color-changing combo button with Stop, Refresh, and Go located just next to the address bar — space saving and minimalist at its best.

If the screenshots materialize like that, the new Firefox 4.0 design would bring in a shorter mouse distance to page controls and is expected to save on vertical space and to add efficiency by removing visual complexity.

We game, it looks great!
