The Palm Pre $99 Pricing Over the Weekend Was a Mere Glitch

How you wish you bought the Palm Pre through the Best Buy deal over the weekend! The reason, well, the Palm Pre was available for a $99 price tag over the weekend after a confusion that stemmed from a picture from an in-store banner. The banner was promoting a week long special $99 Pre with a 2-year contract was posted online.

Sadly, it turned out to be a mistake and the clarification was made by Best Buy marketing manager John Bernier who posted the upgrade on his Twitter Page.

So in case you are wondering about the fate of the people who bought the Pre in a $99 deal, you would be ‘glad’ to know that the Pre would belong to them without paying a dime extra.
