Kazaa Goes Legal, Becomes Subscription Service
Now that Napster and The Pirate Bay has decided to go legit, the folks over at Kazaa are making their move out of the illicit music landscape. If rumours are true, Kazaa is trying to become famous again by announcing a subscription service that will cost $20 and will allow you unlimited music downloads.

Brilliant Digital Entertainment has announced that Kazaa is coming out of beta after a month of testing and will include over 1 million tracks of songs and ringtones from all four of the major recording companies (with no “per song” download fees or any download limits)
Created by Niklas Zennström, Janus Friis, and Priit Kasesalu (all of whom later created Skype), Kazaa has been one of the most renowned peer-to-peer applications in history. They’ve been crunched by copyright suits that ordered them to prevent users from committing copyright violations.
Is Kazaa actually coming back from the dead and become a success once again?
To be continued …
