Grand Central or since March the new-fangled Google Voice has really been on a roll and it is got a lot to do with the recently introduced features. And now, it is finally landed on a platform it deserves the most. Beginning today, the Android and BlackBerry Smartphone users can use the VoIP service capable of linking many phone numbers together.

For the layman, you will have a common Google number irrespective of the location and a call on that number will ring all your phones depending on the priority settings of course. You can also get voice mail and text messages through the same number.

The service comes with a fix that ensures that the recipient of the call can see your Google Voice number, a problem that earlier clouded the success of the service.

Very Soon the service will also be available on the iPhone and since Apple has already approved a Skype service, it will now be an interesting development to track. [viaCnet]
