Sprint and Best Buy offering 99 cent Netbook, what’s the catch?

If you ever desired to own a netbook for a penny, this is your chance! The Best Buy and Sprint partnership is together offering a netbook for a price tag of 0.99 cent but with a catch of course. Why would you think that a netbook which costs $199.99 with Verizon and $399.99 without contract, is being offered on the cuff?

Of course you get to own it for a penny, but thereon, you need to pay $60 a month for a two year contact and that is eventually how you make this embedded broadband capability netbook yours. Add that amount and it totals out as $1440.

Now if you were to listen to us, we wouldn’t advise people to buy i,  for all that you get is a single 1.6GHz machine with 1GB of RAM and a triple cell battery. Buying would only make Sprint and Best Buy richer by each unit sold, don’t you think?
