With the economy on the grind and the energy resources getting strangled, the Acer V193WBbmd and theV223WBbmd come across as a much-needed revelation. The Japanese company has developed these monitors claiming that they would reduce power consumption by 36%-a blessing in these given circumstances.
The green rapport apart, the two differ from each other on size as the main factor with the V223WBbmd measuring 22-inches and 1680 x 1050 resolution(the name is a good hint) and the V193WBbmd looking good at 19-inches, 1440 x 900 resolution . The contrast ratio is similar at 10,000:1 and so is the 5ms response time and the brightness level of 300cd/m2.
The size difference does bring along a difference in the pricing with the 22-inch version being shipped at $236 while the smaller variant demands $185. As of now, these monitors are only being shipped in Japan but we are confident that the off-shore markets too would retail them soon. [via Gadgettell]
