iWork.com Beta – Apple is Onto Something

If you ever thought that Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs is trying to take on MSFT boss, Bill Gates. Apparently he likes the concept Google introduced on the Internet and he’s trying to beat the guys with their own weapons. Their latest gig the web based application – iWork.com, is a Beta version of the Google Docs and should allow users to easily upload and notify, to view documents online, add comments and notes and allows you to download a copy of the file.

The bad part however, is that Steve plans to capitalize on the job and won’t offer it free like Sergey and the gang. No word on price yet, but we’re not really excited for something that will require money … [via Engadget]
