Largest LCD Display in the World, Sharp’s 108-inch Launched

I wasn’t expecting to get it that soon, but I guess with all those sheiks crying to have one in their “palaces”, Sharp was forced into launching their 108-inch – the largest LCD display in the world – during the Gitex 2008 in Dubai. Not sure if it’s worth mentioning the specs, but I’ll do it anyway : 1200:1 contrast ratio, 400-cd/m2 brightness level, a 176-degree viewing angle, 1920 x 1080 resolutions and a bunch of inputs like those 3 HDMI ports. With a low power consumption design and built in the super-green Sharp Kameyama Plant in Japan, the 108-inch LCD display turns out to be a great device for the environmentalists that can afford paying $150,000 for it. Or at least that’s what is rumored …
